Privacy Policy
Effective Date: August 18, 2026
Zucker Jewish Academy (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates zuckeracademy.org (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the Site, how we use it, and the choices available to you.
This Policy applies to prospective families and other visitors who contact us through the Site. Records of enrolled students and their families are governed by our separate school policies and applicable education-records law, and are not covered by this Policy.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide. When you submit an inquiry form, request a campus tour, register for an event, or begin an application, we may collect:
- Your name, email address, mailing address, and mobile phone number
- The campus or school you are interested in
- Your child's first name, age, and prospective grade or entry year
- Any comments, questions, or background you choose to include
- Your communication preferences, including whether you have consented to receive text messages
Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we may automatically collect your IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, pages viewed, and the dates and times of your visits. We collect this through cookies and similar technologies as described in Section 6.
Information from third parties. If you respond to one of our advertisements on a social media or advertising platform, that platform may transmit to us the contact information and responses you provided within the ad. We may also receive your information from a family member or community member who refers you to us.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your inquiry and provide information about our schools
- Schedule and confirm campus tours, assessments, interviews, and events
- Communicate with you about the status of an admissions inquiry or application
- Send you information about admissions deadlines, open houses, and other events, where you have asked to receive it
- Improve the Site, our communications, and our admissions process
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms and Conditions
3. Text Messaging (SMS/MMS)
If you provide your mobile number and consent to receive text messages, we may send you messages relating to admissions inquiries, tour and appointment confirmations and reminders, application status updates, and admissions events and deadlines. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of applying to, enrolling in, or receiving any service from our schools.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP, or request help by replying HELP. Full text messaging terms, including opt-out instructions and carrier disclaimers, appear in our Terms and Conditions.
How we handle mobile information:
No mobile information will be sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party for any purpose other than delivering the messages you requested.
Information sharing with subcontractors that provide support services on our behalf — such as our messaging provider, customer relationship management platform, or scheduling system — is permitted solely for the purpose of operating the messaging program, and those parties are prohibited from using the information for their own purposes.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information.
We share personal information only in the following circumstances:
- Service providers. With vendors who perform services for us — including our customer relationship management platform, email and text messaging providers, scheduling and form platforms, electronic signature services, and website hosting. These vendors are permitted to use the information only to provide services to us.
- Within our school network. With admissions and administrative staff at the campus or campuses relevant to your inquiry.
- Legal requirements. Where required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, consolidation, or transfer of operations, subject to the protections described in this Policy.
As stated in Section 3, mobile phone numbers and text messaging consent are excluded from all sharing for marketing or promotional purposes.
5. Advertising and Analytics
We use analytics services to understand how visitors use the Site. We may also use advertising platform tools that allow us to measure the performance of our advertisements and to show ads to people who have visited the Site. These tools may set cookies or similar identifiers in your browser.
We do not include mobile phone numbers or text messaging consent data in any advertising audience, custom audience, or similar advertising tool.
6. Cookies
Cookies are small files placed on your device that allow the Site to function and allow us to measure usage. You can set your browser to refuse cookies or to alert you when cookies are being sent. Some portions of the Site may not function properly if you disable cookies.
7. Children's Privacy
The Site is intended for use by parents, guardians, and other adults. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under the age of 13.
Information about a prospective student — such as a child’s first name, age, or prospective grade — is collected from the parent or guardian who submits the inquiry, not from the child. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to us directly through the Site, please contact us at the address in Section 12 and we will delete it.
8. Data Retention
We retain inquiry and application information for as long as necessary to serve the purposes described in this Policy, to maintain our admissions and enrollment records, and to comply with legal obligations. We retain records of text messaging consent and opt-out requests for as long as required to demonstrate compliance with applicable law.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Your Choices
- Email. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link at the bottom of any such message. We may still send you messages relating to an inquiry or application already in progress.
- Text messages. Reply STOP to any message to opt out. See our Terms and Conditions for details.
- Access and deletion. You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by contacting us at the address in Section 12. We will respond consistent with applicable law and our recordkeeping obligations.
11. Third-Party Links
The Site may link to websites we do not operate. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any site you visit.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The revised version will be posted on this page with an updated Effective Date. Material changes will be identified at the top of the page.
