School Mental Health Counselor

📍 Las Vegas, NV | Full-Time | 3+ Years Post-Graduate Experience Required

Zucker Jewish Academy of Las Vegas is seeking a warm, trustworthy, and experienced School Mental Health Counselor to guide our students’ emotional development, build a culture of care, and strengthen the safety net that makes learning possible. You’ll be a core part of a growing, values-driven team — one that believes deeply in every child’s potential and every educator’s impact.

🧠 What You’ll Do:

• Provide one-on-one and small-group support for students facing social-emotional or behavioral challenges

• Implement mental health programs that foster well-being and resilience across the school

• Partner with teachers, families, and school leaders to build a supportive, safe environment

• Offer short-term counseling and referrals as needed

• Help shape a school culture rooted in compassion, trust, and clear communication

• Maintain high standards of confidentiality, ethics, and care

✅ Who We’re Looking For:

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has at least 3 years of post-graduate clinical experience

• Holds a Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field

• Is licensed (or license-eligible) in Nevada

• Uses evidence-based approaches with empathy and care

• Is calm under pressure and brings a warm, steady presence to every interaction

• Communicates clearly with students, teachers, and parents alike

• Is passionate about helping children grow emotionally, socially, and academically

• Aligns with our school’s values: integrity, connection, compassion, and growth
